games fail to launch in pressure vessel with steam running in lxc
I regularly run Steam in an unprivileged LXC container. I just tried a couple of games (Floating Point and Antichamber) with "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" set to "Steam Linux Runtime". The games failed to launch. The last relevant-looking entries in ~/.steam/error.log were:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gvfs/libgvfscommon.so: undefined symbol: g_task_new
Failed to load module: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gio/modules/libgvfsdbus.so
pressure-vessel-wrap[893]: Cannot run bwrap: wait status 256
pressure-vessel-wrap[893]: Diagnostic output:
bwrap: Failed to make / slave: Permission denied
I suspect this is because bubblewrap or Pressure Vessel doesn't like running in a container for some reason. Perhaps not a surprise, since namespaces can be tricky, but I thought I'd report it here just so it doesn't get overlooked as Pressure Vessel develops. It's worth noting that LXC supports nested containers, so I imagine there must be some way to fix this problem.
